Something Happened On The Way To Heaven!!!

So bloody pumped to be able to show you guys my first video for this project.

What a track to start off with!

Phil Collins is a legend and I thought this song had so much groove and such a killer chorus that it would be bloody rude not to cover it. This is seriously one of my favourite chorus lines in history.

Finding a videographer guru to do ongoing work is like trying to find the right band members. It’s either going to work out incredible or it’s not. This process taught me a lot about people and myself. I phoned around Melbourne for months, and after countless phone calls and meetings I ended up finding Daniel Nolan.

For me to sign off on my work everything has to sit really well. This song was actually filmed prior to this video, but the energy didn’t shine through the screen so I decided to start all over again.

You are watching me in my natural habitat at the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges, one hour from Melbourne, Australia.

Daniel was amazing to work with for this video. In my opinion he has done an awesome job on this as a whole. We captured the sunlight through the window at the perfect time and I love the whole aesthetic.

The bass was recorded by Julian Meyer and the audio was mixed and mastered by myself and Dylan Mitrovich. I’m stoked with the tone and the mix. Please crank it with decent speakers if possible to get the full impact of the audio.

I have so much respect for the original track. There’s a slight spin of my own with the playing, but it’s pretty close to how Nathan East recorded it back in the 90s.
